How MittenCE Uses AI
Last updated: June 1, 2026
1. Plain-English summary
MittenCE uses AI-assisted processing to help extract facts from course pages, certificates, PDFs, images, and uploaded files. AI helps organize information for review; it does not decide whether you are licensed, renewed, audit-ready, or compliant.
2. What AI may help with
- Extracting course title, provider, dates, hours, and format from certificates.
- Reading uploaded files or course URLs to find source evidence.
- Summarizing evidence that may relate to a continuing education requirement.
- Flagging items that need manual review when information is missing or ambiguous.
3. What AI does not do
- AI does not provide legal advice, professional licensing advice, or board guidance.
- AI does not guarantee that a course satisfies a requirement.
- AI does not replace your review of source documents and licensing requirements.
- AI-extracted legal or rule changes are not automatically activated in MittenCE.
4. Human review and source evidence
MittenCE is designed to keep AI output reviewable. When the app presents course or certificate evidence, it uses cautious language such as source checked, appears to match, or needs manual verification. Compliance source changes create review candidates before they affect active rule sets.
5. What not to upload
Do not upload client records, patient information, clinical notes, treatment information, or protected health information. MittenCE is built for continuing education records, not clinical documentation.
6. Service providers
MittenCE may use AI, hosting, database, storage, analytics, and monitoring service providers to operate the product. These providers process information only as needed to support MittenCE features, security, and reliability.
7. Your responsibility
You remain responsible for reviewing applicable licensing requirements, confirming whether a course or certificate applies to your renewal, keeping official documentation, and submitting accurate renewal materials.
