Terms of Service
Last updated: May 31, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of MittenCE. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use MittenCE.
2. What MittenCE provides
MittenCE provides recordkeeping, renewal-planning, and documentation-management software for continuing education records. MittenCE is not a licensing board, government agency, law firm, continuing education provider, or professional licensing advisor.
Course matches, requirement summaries, review language, reminders, and dashboard calculations are provided for planning purposes. You are responsible for confirming final renewal requirements, accepted trainings, deadlines, and documentation standards with the appropriate Michigan licensing authority.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate account, license, and renewal information and to update it when it changes.
4. User responsibility
You remain responsible for reviewing applicable licensing requirements, determining whether a course or record applies to your license, maintaining official documentation, submitting renewal materials, and attesting to renewal information. MittenCE helps organize records and supporting information, but it does not replace your professional judgment or the decisions of applicable licensing authorities.
5. Subscriptions and payment
Paid plans, pricing, renewal periods, and billing terms are shown at signup or checkout. Subscription access may be suspended or cancelled if payment fails or if the account is used in violation of these terms. Taxes, if applicable, may be added to the price shown.
You may cancel according to the cancellation options available in the app or checkout provider. When you cancel a recurring subscription, access continues until the end of the current paid or trial period unless a different policy is shown at checkout or required by law. After that period ends, app access may be limited to account, settings, and billing pages until you resubscribe. Unless a separate refund policy is shown at purchase or required by law, fees are not automatically refundable for partial billing periods, unused time, or unused features. Trial periods, price changes, and renewal terms will be presented where applicable.
Refund requests may be reviewed case by case for duplicate charges, billing errors, accidental first charges or renewals reported promptly, or material service issues. If a charge is refunded, subscription access may end immediately unless separate comped access is granted.
6. User content and records
You may upload or enter course records, certificate information, notes, and other account content. You retain ownership of your content. You grant MittenCE the limited right to process, store, display, and use that content as needed to provide and improve the service.
Do not upload content that you do not have the right to use, that is unlawful, or that contains sensitive information unnecessary for continuing education tracking.
7. Protected health information
MittenCE is not intended for patient records, client records, clinical notes, treatment information, or protected health information. Do not upload or enter protected health information, client names, patient information, or clinical records into MittenCE unless a separate written agreement expressly permits it.
8. Acceptable use
You may not misuse MittenCE, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape protected areas, reverse engineer the service, or use MittenCE to violate laws or third-party rights.
9. Third-party services and course providers
MittenCE may link to or display information from third-party course providers, payment processors, authentication providers, analytics tools, and infrastructure vendors. We are not responsible for third-party websites, course availability, pricing, source status, or provider representations.
10. Disclaimers and no guarantees
MittenCE is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every course or requirement summary will be complete, current, or accepted by a licensing authority.
MittenCE does not guarantee course acceptance, requirement satisfaction, renewal approval, audit outcomes, regulatory accuracy, or any decision by a licensing board or other authority.
11. Account termination
You may stop using MittenCE or cancel your account according to the options available in the service. MittenCE may suspend or terminate access if an account is used in violation of these terms, creates security or operational risk, or is required to be restricted by law. Some information may be retained after cancellation where needed for legal, security, billing, backup, or legitimate business purposes.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MittenCE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed renewal deadlines, licensing decisions, or third-party course outcomes.
13. Changes to the service or terms
We may update MittenCE or these terms over time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of MittenCE after updated terms become effective means you accept the updated terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
Governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution language should be reviewed by counsel before public launch. Until then, these terms should not be read to create any licensing-board, legal, or professional advisory relationship.
