  • Usage and device information, such as pages visited, browser type, approximate location from network data, and product interactions.
  • Support communications and feedback you choose to send.

3. Automated processing

Uploaded files and course URLs may be processed by automated systems to extract information and support MittenCE features. Certificates may be analyzed automatically, uploaded files may be parsed automatically, course URLs may be fetched automatically, and AI-assisted extraction or classification may be used to help identify potential record or requirement matches for review. 4. Protected health information

MittenCE is not intended for storing patient records, client records, clinical notes, treatment information, or protected health information. Do not upload or enter protected health information into MittenCE.

5. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve MittenCE.
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts.
  • Display renewal planning, course discovery, and certificate tracking workflows.
  • Send account, waitlist, launch, billing, support, and service-related messages.
  • Understand product usage and prioritize improvements.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate MittenCE, including hosting, database, authentication, file storage, analytics, payment, email, support, and monitoring vendors. These providers are permitted to process information only as needed to provide services to MittenCE.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

7. Vendors and service providers

MittenCE may use vendors and service providers for hosting, database services, authentication, email, analytics, AI-assisted processing, cloud storage, payments, monitoring, and support. These providers process information to help provide, secure, and improve MittenCE.

8. Cookies and analytics

MittenCE uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, analytics, and product improvement. You can control some cookies through browser settings, but disabling required cookies may prevent parts of the service from working.

Product analytics are used to improve workflows and understand product usage. Analytics are not intended to store certificate contents, client information, patient information, or protected health information.

9. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain reasonable business records. You may request deletion of your account information, subject to legal, operational, and security limits.

Users remain responsible for retaining official documentation required by licensing boards. MittenCE storage is intended to assist recordkeeping and organization, not replace any official retention requirement.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so you should use a strong password, keep login credentials private, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

11. Your choices

You may update certain account and profile information in the app. You may unsubscribe from non-essential emails where an unsubscribe option is provided. You may also request access, correction, or deletion of personal information by emailing support@mittence.com.

12. Children

MittenCE is intended for licensed professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as MittenCE changes. The updated policy will show a new last updated date. Continued use of the service after the updated policy is posted means the updated policy applies.

MittenCE is not a licensing board and does not provide legal advice. Users remain responsible for confirming renewal requirements with the appropriate Michigan licensing authority.
